McKee Foods is seeking a Region Sales Manager to join our Field Sales Organization team. The Region Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing sales activities, driving revenue growth, and managing a team of District Sales Representatives. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills to ensure the company’s sales objectives are met or exceeded. Requirements

  • Minimum five years experience in the business with a minimum of two years as a successful District Sales Representative or related position
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity and commitment to McKee Foods’ guiding values, goals and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective at motivating others
  • Demonstrated commitment to working as part of a team
  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to continually recognize and take advantage of sales opportunities within the parameters of the McKee Foods distribution channel
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative with a commitment to achieving goals
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects or tasks and proactively address issues
  • Ability to make decisions, delegate, document, solve problems, teach others, and stay calm in stressful situations
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written and listening communication skills; is comfortable using appropriate technology to efficiently disseminate information
  • Good analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret information and use it to develop a compelling sales story using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven experience adding multi-location distributorships and focused locations
  • At least a moderate technical proficiency with the willingness and ability to learn more and to teach the necessary skills to District Sales Representatives
  • Willing to take additional training as necessary in areas such as leadership training, category management, time management, improving technical skills, data analysis and communication, etc.
  • Willing to travel extensively
  • Willing to relocate if necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Previous business experience as an Independent Distributor
  • Experience contacting Retailers, including Major Retail Headquarters
  • Business-related degree

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to District Sales Representatives in Region
  • Develop and implement a Region Sales Plan
  • Initiate the development of sales opportunities within the Region
  • Provide and encourage good communication within the Region, the Division, and the corporate office
  • Provide leadership to District Sales Representatives to develop excellent business relationships with Independent Distributors
  • Responsible for ensuring excellent relationships with Retail Headquarters
