About The Position

The Region Manager of Business Development will lead the sales organization within North America, focusing on policy and strategy implementation for short-term results. This role is crucial for overseeing the business development team to drive profitable growth aligned with the organization's goals and objectives, while also maintaining long-term key customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of commercial experience in sales or a technical role within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Preferably, experience in people leadership.
  • Proficient in using SFDC and other CRM tools.
  • Skilled in interpreting sales data and making strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in presenting technical information effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the biotech sector.
  • Familiarity with market trends in life sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to attract new customers within the biotech community.
  • Lead and nurture a high-performing sales team to meet business goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize and manage SFDC (Salesforce) to document leads, opportunities, and customer interactions, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Analyze SFDC data to identify trends, generate insights, and monitor sales performance.
  • Oversee the regional implementation of Integrated Solutions sales, from lead identification to financial solutions.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by offering solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise to assist the sales team.
  • Deliver comprehensive presentations and product demonstrations to clients and sales representatives.
  • Act as a liaison between key customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication.
  • Prepare and present regular progress and forecast reports to stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve market coverage.
  • Offer customer support insights to address product and service usage issues.
  • Represent Sartorius at industry events, meetings, and interest groups.
