About The Position
Region Landfill Engineer -- Lead the Future of Sustainable Solid Waste Management At Waste Connections, engineers aren’t tucked away in an office — they’re boots-on-the-ground innovators shaping how communities manage waste, protect the environment, and build for the future. As a Region Engineer, you’ll be the go‑to partner for leaders across multiple states, leading projects that make a difference and delivering operational and business solutions.
Requirements
- You thrive in complex environments, bring at least 5 years of experience in waste services, civil construction, or mining, and hold a degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Possess experience leading large‑scale projects and being primarily accountable for project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Transform operations across landfill facilities by leading cell development, infrastructure design, and environmental systems that make a lasting difference.
- Champion innovations in waste collection, processing, and disposal to maximize value while protecting the environment.
- Partner directly with operations and financial leaders to boost efficiency and uphold our #1 value: Safety.
- Shape and manage capital budgets, ensuring projects superior returns on investment.
- Drive improvements in safety, compliance, and operating performance.
- Ensure every facility maintains 100% compliance with all regulatory requirements.
