About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).
  • 2 years of teaching experience in urban areas (preferred).
  • State certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a classroom culture characterized by high expectations and high support.
  • Create an inclusive classroom and school community through training and dialogue on race, identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Design, plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons focused on Regents exam content and skills.
  • Create and administer Regents-style assessments and practice exams.
  • Develop and analyze assessment data to track progress and tailor instructional practices.
  • Support students on Regents exams, particularly those who have faced challenges.
  • Offer tutoring support and track student progress, providing updates to scholars and families.
  • Maintain strong relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Continuously improve professional practice through coaching sessions and collaborative reflection.
  • Lead Regents Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to support Regents-aligned instruction.
  • Foster active citizenship through discussions and activities on current events and community service.
  • Engage in whole-school events and tasks as assigned by school leadership.
