REG MANAGER - CVO/CREDENTIALING - CIMARRON (FULL-TIME)
About The Position
The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. Starting with Valley Hospital Medical Center in 1979, the Valley Health System has grown to include Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center , Henderson Hospital, and Valley Health Specialty Hospital. Job Description: Responsible for supporting the Regional CVO Director in overseeing the daily operation of the CVO, the day-today employee relations, overseeing and guiding the CVO staff. Responsible and accountable for timeliness of assignments, as well as software systems utilized to perform credentialing functions. Maintains collaborative relationships with the Medical Staff Offices regarding credentialing compliance and software education. This position will be responsible for the entire Nevada Market and select California facilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years experience in leadership/management position in Medical Staff and/or Performance Improvement.
- Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and internet.
- Certification as appropriate for the position (ex. Certification by healthcare certification board or National Association of Medical Staff Services or equivalent certification) professional in medical staff services and/or quality management required.
- Substantial knowledge of medical staff functions and processes, bylaws, rules/ regulations, policies and procedures, accreditation standards of the Joint Commission for Healthcare Accreditation Organization (JCAHO), and federal/state law.
