Requirements

  • A minimum of three to five years' experience as a seasoned human resources practitioner.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fair employment practices laws and regulations.
  • Experience in a telecommunications environment is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a team-driven environment and take initiative in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources administration/management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer software skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a multi-site company.
  • Some Oracle and HR database management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the HR systems and practices within an assigned region.
  • Provide counsel on procedure and policy interpretation, retention strategies, and employee relations issues.
  • Partner with senior leadership in evaluation of reports (i.e. turnover) and research new approaches to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate in decision-making to improve the organization and develop a comprehensive rollout plan for new HR approaches.
  • Establish feedback mechanisms (i.e. surveys) to gather insights from employees.
  • Monitor the progress of the rollout and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Celebrate milestones and successes throughout the rollout process.
  • Leverage internal communication to share success stories and highlight achievements.
  • Evaluate the overall impact of new approaches by employee satisfaction and organizational goals.
  • Handle Employee Relations escalations for the region.
  • Conduct Employee Relations Investigations (including hotline claims) on site and by phone.
  • Handle Leave escalations with the Benefits Manager.
  • Travel to visit markets/field at least once a month.
  • Attend Senior Leadership staff calls/meetings and provide HR updates.
  • Conduct training and refresher sessions to educate managers.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain and update RIF tracker.
  • Analyze RIF and Furlough files to ensure policy guidelines/laws are adhered to.
  • Train assigned HRG(s) on HR related processes and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and HR best practices.
  • Act as a strategic partner, offering insights on talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
