About The Position

The Registered Echo Technologist independently performs diagnostic cardiac echocardiology procedures utilizing proper techniques and protocols. This role works under their scope of practice and in accordance with registry in the operation of equipment. The technologist coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Cardiopulmonary Department, exercising professional judgment in the performance of duties to maintain equipment in good working condition. Additionally, the technologist may perform other cardiology procedures in other modalities based on departmental needs and may have on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Ultrasound/Sonographer.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed by CCI or ARDMS.
• CPR Certification required.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Three years of clinical experience in all facets of echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform diagnostic cardiac echocardiology procedures.
• Utilize proper techniques and protocols in echocardiography.
• Coordinate patient flow and activities of the Cardiopulmonary Department.
• Maintain equipment in good working condition.
• Perform other cardiology procedures as needed.
• May have on-call responsibilities.
