About The Position

Interprets federal and state and/or international regulations as they apply to products, financial processes, and other processes, practices and procedures. Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met. Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with government laws and regulations. The purpose of this position is to support the Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) and/or Property Management System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
  • Interpreting contract requirements and applying to business processes
  • Experience with project management
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Profieciency in Mictosoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with external / internal surveillance activities

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knoweldge of FAR 52.245-1 and/or DFARS 252.242-7004
  • Familiarity with NNS Systems and SAP
  • Knowledge of material value stream at NNS
  • Material/Asset transfers
  • Inventory Record Accuracy
  • Excess/Residual Material
