The position involves obtaining 2D and 3D echocardiograms with color and spectral doppler at the patient's bedside and in the echo lab. It also includes performing stress echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echocardiograms as requested, assisting cardiologists with TEE and intracardiac echo in the cardiac Cath lab, and rotating the hospital on-call schedule.
Requirements
- Must obtain ARDMS or CCI certifications for Adult Echocardiography as required by each entity within 6 months of employment
- RDCS or RCIS certification
Nice To Haves
- 3-5 years experience in echo including 2D Doppler, Color Doppler and TEE
- Some higher education other than High School
Responsibilities
- Obtain 2D and 3D echocardiograms with color and spectral doppler at the patient's bedside and in echo lab
- Perform stress echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echocardiograms as requested
- Assist cardiologists with TEE and intracardiac echo in the cardiac Cath lab
- Rotate hospital on call schedule, arriving within 45 minutes of call
- Filing
- Data entry into the computer
- Answering phones
- Giving reports to physicians
