About The Position

The Refurbishment Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of small or less complex design, construction or maintenance projects.

Requirements

  • Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances. Must have knowledge of HVAC.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
  • Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 0 to 2 years of experience and may require Project Management certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work activities of internal design or maintenance staff, or contractors and subcontractors, to ensure satisfactory delivery of assigned capital improvement projects.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators and prepares and delivers reports to management.
  • Selects, negotiates with, and manages activities of external consultants or vendors.
