About The Position

The Foster Family Recruiter for the Refugee Foster Care Program at Catholic Community Services of Utah plays a crucial role in identifying and recruiting families to provide safe and supportive homes for refugee youth. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in community outreach, marketing, and advertising preferred.
  • Experience working with multicultural and refugee communities is desirable.
  • Foster care or child welfare experience is highly desirable.
  • Must pass a national BCI/FBI background check.
  • Current Utah driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Set recruitment goals and monitor them on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Engage potential foster parents through follow-up calls and local advertising.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment efforts and evaluate their effectiveness using data-driven methods.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations to raise awareness of the Refugee Foster Care Program.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to create engaging content for blogs and social media.
  • Attend community events to educate the public about the Refugee Foster Care Program and recruit potential foster parents.
  • Track and manage the foster parent referral incentivization program.
  • Facilitate Foster Parent Information Meetings to provide essential program details to prospective foster parents.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and monthly Capacity Team meetings to coordinate efforts and share insights.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to recruitment processes.
