The position involves maintaining and performing preventative maintenance activities on ammonia refrigeration systems. The technician will be responsible for completing accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, observing and testing system operation using gauges and instruments, and dismantling, assembling, and installing refrigeration equipment. Communication with other departments, management, and employees is essential to notify them of any problems or concerns that may restrict production efficiency. The technician must ensure all repairs are documented and complete all paperwork clearly and accurately according to standard operating procedures. Additionally, the role includes assisting in maintaining parts and supplies inventory, training operators, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. Safety compliance with state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues is a critical aspect of the job, along with following good manufacturing practices (GMP) and corporate regulatory requirements.
