The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing small refrigeration systems while effectively collaborating with product development teams, production, and customers. The role will contribute to prototype validation, perform refrigeration system modifications, complete complex troubleshooting, and provide technical training to production teams. Additionally, the Refrigeration Technician will be tasked with proper calibration and preventative maintenance of refrigeration equipment, assist with quality inspections and nonconformance investigations, and offer technical support to customers. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Contribute to the prototype validation testing of small auto-defrost and cold-wall refrigeration systems. Test unit refrigeration assembly and installation of thermocouples, pressure transducers, etc. in preparation for system testing using PLIS. Perform modifications to refrigeration components on test units between tests. Disassembly and disposition as appropriate for test units after completion of tests. Develop and provide technical training to production team members in Condensing Unit Assembly, Evaporator Assembly and Charge Line Roles. Perform complex troubleshooting and rework of refrigeration issues in production. Ensure timely execution and documentation of preventative maintenance and calibration of production refrigeration evacuation, charge, and charge validation equipment. Ensure all safety and quality standards are being followed and enforced. Quality validation of refrigeration components including incoming inspection, nonconformance investigation, repair or proper disposition as required. Provide customer technical support, log call details and resolution in proper call center systems. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience One (1) or Two (2)-year refrigeration related degree/certificate preferred (HVACR, Refrigeration Service, etc.) One (1) to three (3) years of refrigeration and electro-mechanical experience following standard troubleshooting procedures, using machine schematics, working with machinery operating at multiple voltages, and familiarity with technical measurement devices. Type 1 and Type 2 refrigerant handling certification.
