About The Position

Entry level for Refrigeration /HVAC technician (Apprentice/training position). Assist Skilled Technicians with refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair and support to assigned service calls. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Refrigeration/HVAC/Electrical Technical School is preferred.
• One year refrigeration/HVAC experience with satisfactory overall performance is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• EPA Refrigerant -Universal- Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist other skilled trade technicians in repairs as requested.
• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned or needed to meet technicians.
• Assist with and perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to buildings and equipment.
• Assist in compressor, large motor and component replacement.
• Assist in leak checks and refrigerant management.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment as directed by other skilled technicians.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
• Orally communicate with store personnel and other skilled technicians.
• Utilize company email to send and receive messages.
• Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
• Utilize company work order system for assignments and track time.
