SUMMARY: The Refrigeration Operator 3rd shift uses their hands-on knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and experience working with industrial refrigeration components to accomplish preventative and predictive maintenance tasks of the refrigeration department of the assigned facility . Assist with Boiler and steam system maintenance.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in Refrigeration, Maintenance, or similar skill set
• Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) membership w/Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) or ability to obtain.
• Ammonia Refrigeration (2 stage system)
• Able to pass and maintain state High Pressure Steam Boiler License
• Process Safety Management (PSM) understanding
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Speak, read & write fluently in English

Nice To Haves

• Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to handle multiple projects at one time

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration equipment, such as compressors, ammonia pumps condensing towers, etc.
• Full understanding of the refrigeration cycle
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and assigned work orders
• Perform troubleshooting activities, as necessary.
• Performs quality checks as required by position and/or product at assigned facility
• Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
