About The Position

As a Mid-Level Service Tech, you'll be responsible for diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and ice machines that are installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments. Perform diagnosis and repair work on conventional and rack refrigeration systems, evaporative and air-cooled condensers, ice machines, water pumps, compressors, air handlers, electric motors, and all types of HVAC units. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operating efficiencies and minimize downtime for customers. Complete all paperwork in a timely manner and adhere to customer documentation procedures. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Clean driver’s license/record
  • EPA Certification, EPA 608 minimum types I and II or Universal
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the diagnosis and repair and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and/or HVAC equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from technical school or equivalent experience a PLUS!
  • Ability to perform the job in a safe manner
  • Proficient with diagnostic and repairs for self-contained refrigeration systems, walk ins, ice machines repairs, and HVAC equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of supermarket refrigeration energy management systems a PLUS
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with customers
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve quality results
  • Must be able and willing to take lead when more than one tech is required for job
  • Must be willing and able to work long hours on your feet, participate in on-call rotation which includes nights, weekends, and one or more holidays each year
