About The Position

Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for Refrigeration Maintenance at our Gibbon, NE plant. As Refrigeration Maintenance you will oversee all mechanical aspects of the refrigeration system and coolers, maintain all equipment used for refrigeration, schedule and perform preventative maintenance, read, understand, and complete work orders and operational manuals, and carry out verbal instructions. You will assist in maintaining minimal production down time and help find solutions to reduce downtime, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and support projects related to continuous improvements. You will work closely with the boiler maintenance team, assist with electrical projects as needed, maintain effective relations with team and co-workers, maintain the cleanliness of the shop work area, and follow all Food Safety, SQF, and Safety policies, making sure all PPE is properly used as required. The ability to work independently and as a team is essential.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) and with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of PPE
• Willing and able to work extended hours Thursday through Monday and overtime when necessary
• Must be able to successfully complete training in Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, and SOPs

Nice To Haves

• Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility
• Prior production experience
• Work history in the last 12 months
