About The Position

At Tyson Foods all Team Members are expected to practice safety standards, policies, and procedures. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided. This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the ammonia refrigeration system, HVAC systems, hot water, compressed air, waste treatment, and their safe and efficient operations. Applicants will be considered for the refrigeration maintenance opening on the night shift. (12:00 AM – 12:30 PM)

Requirements

Must have a minimum of one year of mechanic work experience documented in or be a graduate and/or student of an industrial maintenance training program. It can be a combination of mechanical work history or a combination of experience and education.
Must be able to read, write and interpret equipment manuals and technical instructions where required.
Must be able and willing to complete computer-based training
Oral and written communication skills required
Position open to candidates within the country of the posted position.

Nice To Haves

Experience in ammonia refrigeration is preferred.
HVAC experience is welcomed.

Responsibilities

Refrigeration Maintenance positions are responsible for monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining the operation of the refrigeration system.
Must be able to complete computerized training programs and use Tyson SAP software to document completion details of preventative maintenance routines as scheduled by the supervisor.
Must have basic knowledge in electrical troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment under the areas of assigned responsibilities.
Participation in training and skill development in all areas of responsibility is required.
Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and move around the department and work around moving conveyor belts and machines.
Must be able and willing to work in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 28 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a daily basis and be able to stand for up to 12 hours.
Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required.
This refrigeration maintenance position requires passing a yearly hazmat physical and participation in response team activities.
