About The Position

The Refrigeration Maintenance Technician will perform skilled work in the operation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and repair of the facility's real property, power industrial trucks, and plant facility systems. The technician will operate and maintain the ammonia refrigeration system, ensuring maximum plant efficiencies and product quality. This position requires effective communication, proactive recognition of unsafe conditions, and adherence to company safety and food safety policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in mechanic work or refrigeration experience.
• Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program preferred.
• Basic mechanical knowledge including lubrication, power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, and work orders.

Nice To Haves

• PSM experience preferred.
• Refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical preventative and predictive maintenance as tasked.
• Complete daily log sheets and communicate effectively.
• Proactively recognize and report unsafe conditions and mechanical concerns.
• Assist in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical inventory.
• Support company personnel and food safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Follow all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, and GMP policies.
