About The Position

As a Refrigeration Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installations, commissions, and testing commercial/residential cooling systems, including walk-in freezers, coolers, and HVAC units. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, laying out equipment, brazing pipes, wiring electrical components, testing for leaks, and ensuring safety compliance. These individuals must troubleshoot startup issues, maintain tools, and keep accurate documentation.

Requirements

EPA 608 (Universal certification preferred)
3+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration (VRF system experience is a plus)
Expertise in electrical wiring and temperature controls
Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Installing new refrigeration units, components, and systems according to specifications.
Connecting pipes, electrical wiring, water supplies, and controls.
Testing systems for leaks, verifying proper orientation, and charging refrigerant while following safety regulations.
Reading, interpreting blueprints and technical schematics, and preparing work sites.
Performing initial maintenance and troubleshooting during installation to prevent, diagnose, and repair malfunctions.
Adhering to environmental regulations, safety codes, and company procedures regarding refrigerant handling.
Recording daily activities, maintenance, and installations, while providing excellent customer service.
Maintaining vehicles, ordering parts, and managing on-site equipment inventory.
