About The Position

The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician will be responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement, and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial air conditioning and heating systems, including walk-in boxes, refrigerators, air handlers, fan coil units, and ice makers. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and has good communication skills to complete work orders accurately. The technician will report to the Refrigeration Service Manager and must adhere to safe work practices in compliance with OSHA standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment.
• Current EPA 608 Universal CFC certification.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of safe operation of hand tools and testing devices.
• Valid Vehicle Operator's license.
• Ability to stand, sit, or squat for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry materials up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and work at extended heights.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to manage and respond to emergency situations.
• Willingness to work on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Maintain and repair walk-in boxes and refrigerators.
• Service air handlers, fan coil units, and ice makers.
• Complete required work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations.
