The Maintenance Technician II will repair and maintain electric and propane powered material handling equipment (MHE). They will also maintain the batteries used in warehouse equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least one year of related experience is required; this experience could also have been gained from a related training program.
  • Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems as they pertain to the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of MHE
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, internal combustion motors, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering systems, suspension systems, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Raymond MHE preferred
  • Experience logging work orders and PMs into computerized tracking systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the repair of MHE, including monitoring and trending, troubleshooting and repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Conduct installation and repairs on electrical and lighting issues, dock doors, and dock plates
  • Conduct preventive maintenance (PM’s) within manufacturer’s guidelines/specifications and established timelines to include oil changes, filter changes, calibration of equipment, belts changes, inspections, adjustments, lubrication, etc.
  • Responsible for logging time and materials into computerized maintenance management system
  • Required to interpret and understand plans and specifications, schematics, operating and maintenance manuals
  • Other duties as assigned.
