About The Position

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Minimum of 5 years Refrigeration experience in the following types of equipment: Reciprocating, Screw, Scroll & Centrifugal compressors.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with all refrigerants used on site including: R123, R11, R22 & MP39.
  • Must hold an EPA Refrigerant Transition & Recovery Certificate – Universal Type.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in electrical power systems and machinery as well as electronics.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • All US-based 3M full time employees will need to sign an employee agreement as a condition of employment with 3M. This agreement lays out key terms on using 3M Confidential Information and Trade Secrets. It also has provisions discussing conflicts of interest and how inventions are assigned. Employees that are Job Grade 7 or equivalent and above may also have obligations to not compete against 3M or solicit its employees or customers, both during their employment, and for a period after they leave 3M.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and correct any problems pertaining to all Plant refrigeration equipment. The equipment included will be Trane Chillers, Viscose Room Chillers, Main Office HVAC, SRU, etc.
  • Working knowledge of all types of programmable controllers and components used in the plant.
  • Working knowledge and experience in all types of electrical tools, testing equipment and instruments used in industrial plant applications.
  • Experienced in directing HVAC/Electrical type work for maintenance and construction crews.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
