About The Position

We are seeking a Refrigeration Hardware Technician 1 to join our Facilities Refrigeration team! The Refrigeration Hardware Technician 1 supports retail refrigeration operations by performing refrigeration hardware preventive maintenance and executing daily refrigeration hardware service requests for retail stores. Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• 1 year working in skilled trades service or construction disciplines OR 2 years in Publix Retail or Operations experience
• must be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver license
• ability to lift/lower/climb ladders/walk on roofs
• basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, on call rotations and travel with overnight stays

Nice To Haves

• Some HVAC School/trade school coursework
• 3 years working in refrigeration in either service or construction discipline

Responsibilities

• evaluating, maintaining, and cleaning refrigeration hardware components (i.e., doors, hardware, fixtures)
• responding to work requests from retail operations to evaluate and repair refrigeration hardware components (i.e., doors, hardware, fixtures)
• performing housekeeping duties such as maintaining accurate parts inventory
