About The Position

The Refrigeration Engineer position at Shambaugh & Son L.P. involves designing and building projects across various industries, including Health Care, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, and Food Processing. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience or interest in the design-build construction process.
• Familiarity with fast-track construction processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
• Ability to understand and apply Mechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC, and Plumbing code requirements.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer mechanical building and process utility systems including chilled water, steam, compressed air, HVAC medical gases, and refrigeration systems.
• Estimate, design, and manage construction projects.
• Start and assist with industrial ammonia refrigeration facilities.
• Attend project meetings with general contractors, owners, and facilities engineers to discuss design criteria and specifications.
• Ensure project schedules are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and other staff members.
• Proactively work to achieve company goals related to productivity and safety.
