Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of engineering (i.e.: mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural) and 7 years of experience, or 9 years of experience without degree required.
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering design: basic knowledge of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards.
  • High technical aptitude: ability to learn, understand and utilize various systems and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and engineering design software applicable to your discipline or focus.
  • Possess successful verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.

Nice To Haves

  • Have 1+ years of previous exposure to mechanical/HVAC and refrigeration design capability in commercial project design, retail, or related markets.
  • Are familiar in the use of computer aided drafting programs; knowledge of Revit preferred.
  • Have knowledge of sustainable design practices.

Responsibilities

  • Providing refrigeration design services on a variety of building projects that positively impact your community.
  • Technical design on assigned projects using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Assisting in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities.
  • Maintaining project schedules.
  • Providing coordination of project designs with other disciplines.
  • Maintaining positive client relationships.
