What the Role Involves: As a Refrigeration Construction Foreman, you will oversee field operations and provide direction to tradesman, ensuring high-quality workmanship in supermarket refrigeration installations for new store constructions and remodel projects. Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, colleagues, and leadership to foster effective collaboration and workplace efficiency. Develop and adjust work schedules to accommodate shifting construction deadlines, delays, and weather challenges. Provide project status updates to stakeholders, including project managers and construction leadership. Ensure a highly efficient work environment while upholding strict quality and safety standards. Interpret blueprints, conduct material takeoffs, and procure necessary supplies. Oversee construction projects, including piping cooler boxes, overhead lines, compressor rooms/houses, and refrigeration cases, ensuring compliance with specifications. Record and submit daily progress reports, documenting any discrepancies or deviations from the original plan. Train and mentor lower-level construction team members across multiple trades to develop skills and expertise.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • 5 years’ relevant experience of leading and directing refrigeration installations on jobsites.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific systems, with a self-motivated, professional work ethic.
  • Willing to travel up to 75% as required to meet project demands.
