Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Computer skills, including use of tablet required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
  • Ability to read tape measure required.
  • Ability to use small hand and power tools required.
  • Ability to read refrigeration schematics required.
  • Ability to build using electrical, refrigeration, & fabrication drawings, required.
  • Electrical wiring experience preferred.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with industrial manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • May perform brazing duties and light welding, only after on-site training has been provided.
  • Mounts refrigeration components with or without prints.
  • Identifies the different compressors and voltages used.
  • Performs pipe fitting.
  • Performs basic wiring when required.
  • Receives and stocks supplies, checks in job kits.
  • Cleans refrigeration assemblies.
  • Cuts, bends, and preps copper.
  • Works with pipe cutting machinery, frequently uses hand tools.
  • Insulates pipes and reads tape measure.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Understands and abides by the Guiding Principles in daily work.
  • Regular physical attendance is required.
  • Performs other routine duties as assigned by the supervisor.
