The Reflect America Fellowship is a year-long opportunity for an early- to mid-career journalist to report on education in Indigenous communities across North America. The fellow will embed with NPR’s Education Desk, pitching and reporting stories on a wide range of education topics from K-12 to higher education. This role involves collaboration with NPR journalists and public radio station KOSU in Oklahoma City, OK, providing a platform for impactful storytelling. The fellow will develop skills in data analysis, source development, and explanatory reporting, while also learning audio and digital storytelling techniques. Candidates should have a passion for addressing issues relevant to Indigenous communities, such as teacher training, cultural isolation, and funding challenges.
