About The Position

As a Refinery Site Manager, you are responsible for: Safely managing day-to-day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers Managing a team of Account Representatives and Technicians at our customer’s location in Lemont, IL Developing trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration Applying account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers Collecting and interpreting data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers Providing field support, laboratory analysis and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn-arounds, shut-downs, and daily operations Managing chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Refining, supporting hydrocarbon process and finished fuels additives treatment programs
  • Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
  • A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions
  • Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
  • A TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Residing in a commutable distance to Lemont, IL
  • Typical hours will be Monday – Friday, 7am - 4pm (must be willing and able to support the business after hours as-required)
