About The Position

The Opportunity: We are hiring a full-time referral specialist for Neurosurgery Clinic at our Plaza location. Shift Details: This is a Monday through Friday dayshift position working 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Work: Processes incoming patient referrals and obtains medical records and imaging Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Verifying patient insurance eligibility, information, demographics, and authorization requirements Obtain authorizations when required Coordinate all patient scheduling via EPIC platform for providers and multi-disciplinary care team Communicate referral details to patients including appointment instructions and required documentation Handling and triaging of live calls and voicemail to ensure appropriate disposition and action Triage and take appropriate action regarding warm transfer calls Communicate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and office staff regarding referral updates or issues Ensure compliance with HIPPA and healthcare privacy regulations Maintain a workflow system that prevents referral delays Why Saint Luke’s?
