About The Position

Referral Specialist requires attention to detail with reviewing orders/ referrals for specialty scheduling with multiple resources and coordination of appointments. Requires both registration and insurance verification for a smooth arrival / check in and check out process. General Office duties while maintaining medical records and multiple inbox messaging pools. This is an in-office patient facing role with multiple touch points with patients and families. Applicant should have a strong customer service experience and medical office experience preferred. Requirements

  • Medical Office experience
  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum one-year medical office experience or combination of extensive customer service work experience and education in insurance verification, patient registration, and medical terminology.
  • Requires working knowledge of payer billing requirements, regulations, and the third party appeal and denial process.

  • Prefer experiences with scheduling
  • Cerner skills a plus
