Coordinates incoming and outgoing referrals for office visits and diagnostic testing. Obtains insurance authorization prior to visit. Requires general knowledge of specified procedures, insurance authorizations, and other related functions.
Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medical terminology
- Two years of previous medical related scheduling experience
- Demonstrated organizational and communication/customer service skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in utilization of computer application
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals in all levels of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently.
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of a computerized scheduling system
- Three years of previous medical related scheduling experience
