About The Position

This position is responsible for the prompt and courteous assistance to DVCH patients. The position is accountable for scheduling follow-up appointments and providing patients with referrals. In addition, the position is responsible for preparation/completion of referrals, authorizations, scheduling appointments, coordinating care between departments/facilities and registration back-up for the department, and the closing the loop in care by obtaining reports from specialists.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to function independently in a high pressure environment.
• Must be able to present a positive and enthusiastic demeanor while directly working with patients.
• Excellent oral communication skills are required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior knowledge of the various insurance plans in which the organization participates is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be required.
