About The Position

Under limited supervision, responsible for assisting with managing the day-to-day operations of the referral office. Leads or mentors lower level team members.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system while providing excellent service.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients, employees and the public.
• Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality and adherence to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
• Ability to act as a team leader, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows.
• Associate's Degree degree in health related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Triage's patient inquiry and physician referral calls to coordinate intake of new patients.
• Provides educational information in a format that is appropriate for callers not directly involved in the medical field.
• Completes clinical assessment based on a phone interview with patient, family members or patient's physician.
• Obtain patients records and required demographic for input into the pre-registration and new patient systems.
• Comprehends and relays information about pre-clinical and clinical activities.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
