About The Position
A non-exempt medical office position responsible for all referrals for the medical offices in the market
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working in a medical office setting
- Tenet Healthcare/TPR complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer healthcare management/administration or Medical Assistant certification.
Responsibilities
- Process patient referrals for the practices in the market
- Coordinate scheduling of office visits for the referred patient
- Assist patient with finding resources that accept the various insurances
- Obtains pre-authorization from payers.
- Set up referring providers in the Electronic System
