About The Position
Pioneer Physicians Network is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our Centralized Referral Department. This full-time position is crucial for managing patient referrals and ensuring a seamless process for obtaining necessary medical services. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Medical Assistant or Referral Coordinator, which will be beneficial in navigating the complexities of insurance and patient care. The role is Monday through Friday, with no evening, holiday, or weekend shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. As a Referral Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting patients in completing necessary forms to obtain hospitalization or pre-certification from various insurance carriers. This includes completing the appropriate referral forms for respective insurance providers and following up to ensure that coverage is approved. You will also be tasked with forwarding forms to physicians for approval and assisting patients in securing necessary benefits related to their medical conditions. In addition to these responsibilities, you will serve as the primary contact for patients and their families regarding referrals and benefits, addressing any questions or concerns that may arise. Your role will also involve tracking and analyzing referral data, making recommendations for process improvements, and providing in-service education to physicians and staff about updates in the referral process. Maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring smooth patient flow and satisfaction are paramount in this position.
