The role requires effective communication with patients to ensure follow-through with referrals and support for doctors and patients in synchronizing appointments, authorizations, and tests across different clinics. The clerk must ensure that insurances are compatible with referrals and organize work lists to triage patients correctly. The position also involves working quickly in the software system to handle requests, setting goals with the Administrator to meet referral demands, and maintaining confidentiality while upholding policies. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
