About The Position

The Referral/Intake Specialist is responsible for responding to initial referral contact and enrolling qualified adult/child clients (English/Spanish speaking) in the SafetyNet Program. Responsible for completing all clinical intake, authorization and service plans and entering all client data in the electronic healthcare record. Provides crisis intervention, safety planning and information/referral assistance. Facilitates victim support groups as needed. Coordinates on-going services with program advocate/therapists. Maintains and establishes inter-agency relationships with proactive community outreach. Assists with Medicaid or Victim's Compensation Claim billing as eligible. Responsible for assisting program supervisor with reports and data collection for funding bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human services related field
  • Two (2) years related experience required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Valid Florida's driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for program referrals, assess family needs, and coordinate appropriate referrals, including to SafetyNet or domestic violence shelters.
  • Complete client intakes, safety plans, biopsychosocial assessments, authorization forms, and assist in developing service plans (English and Spanish).
  • Enter, manage, and track all client information in the electronic health record, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Build and maintain community partnerships, including organizations that serve Spanish-speaking populations, and provide Spanish interpretation/translation as needed.
  • Support Program Supervisor with PQI indicators, data tracking, surveys, administrative tasks, and translation of program materials.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate victim support groups; provide expert court testimony when required.
  • Maintain strong interagency relationships, participate in staff meetings and professional development, and ensure compliance with all program, regulatory, and contractual standards.
