About The Position

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an experienced Dozer Operator based out of Savannah, GA. The successful candidate for this position will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

• At least two years running a bulldozer in a similar industry.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor equipped with concave blade attached across front to gouge out, level, and distribute earth and to push trees and rocks from land preparatory to construction roads and buildings.
• Conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.
• Keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
• Understand slope and grade stakes information, type of slope (4:1 or 2:1), ditch cut depths, and fill section heights.
• Operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
