About The Position

Reeves Construction Company is looking for an experienced Loader Operator for the Reeves - Columbia / Newberry Asphalt Plant with 2+ years of experience. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

• 2 or more years of Heavy equipment experience.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate the loader, excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards.
• Understand proper stockpile management methods.
• Utilize proper methods to blend material while feeding.
• Effective communication with other operators, truck drivers, and the general public.
• Ability to operate and maintain Loader with little or no supervision.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel.
• Wear proper attire at all times including safety vests, safety glasses, long pants, above the ankle/safety-toed shoes.
• Continuous mental and visual attention necessary to safely and effectively complete work tasks.
• Project a positive and cooperative attitude by maintaining courteous and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain loaders.
• Responsible for the efficient working conditions of the loaders, including performing routine maintenance, minor servicing, and cleaning of the loader.
• Alert the serviceman of any significant problems.
• Maintain hopper levels to achieve maximum production.
• Maintain stockpiles and pit floor.
• Load trucks.
• Assist with maintenance around the asphalt plant.
• Check fuel supplies at sites to ensure adequate availability.
• Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.
• Keep records of material or equipment usage or problems encountered.
• Perform and assist with other job positions for job completion as requested.
