About The Position

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Laborer in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred), but not necessarily required.
• Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to work day or night shifts.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Provide own transportation to and from work.
• Driving License (preferred).
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work will involve physical exertion of a practical nature.
• Ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
• Perform various labor activities including shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt or concrete using short or long handle shovels.
• Cut or trim trees and vegetation using axes, ditch blades, sling blades, chain saws or power weed trimmers.
• Drive stakes or break pavement using sledge hammers.
• Dig holes using hand-operated post hole diggers.
• Operate hand-driven compaction devices.
• Broom dirt and debris using hand brooms.
• Work at asphalt plants, existing roads or streets under traffic, new roads and streets without traffic, various building sites and the office or shop facilities.
