About The Position

The Redi-Rock Loader Operator & Laborer is responsible for all accurate stocking of inventory in the yard. Responsibilities include making sure the correct Redi-Rock product is loaded on each tractor trailer for delivery based upon the ticket. This position also coordinates all activity in the stock yard. The Redi-Rock Loader Operator & Laborer and the Redi-Rock Production Foreman and the Redi-Rock Division Manager work closely together daily to ensure complete customer satisfaction and quality.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent.
  • Must be dependable, a team player and be safety conscious.
  • Must be able to deal professionally with plant employees and other drivers.
  • Common sense and good judgement and willingness to work.
  • Excellent defensive driving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment, plant and truck operations.
  • Must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience as a Redi-Rock Laborer to understand the block type and product is helpful.
  • Previous experience operating equipment including a front-end loader with forks.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader with forks to load Redi-Rock product for delivery.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a front-end loader with forks to stock inventory in the yard.
  • Fully understand and follow the company's philosophy as it pertains to customers.
  • Ensure contracted and company owned trucks are loaded with accurate product for delivery.
  • Act in a courteous and professional manner to all customers including third party.
  • Complete all maintenance on plant for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned plant including Plant/Yard inspections and maintenance (as per the Plant Maintenance Schedule).
  • Maintain concrete block forms and surrounding area. Pour, strip and stockpile blocks in a neat, orderly, and safe manner.
  • Keep all yard and plant areas neat, orderly, and as safe as possible at all times.
  • Snow plowing, removal, and sanding of areas (if necessary).
  • Perform daily pre-trip inspections.
  • Perform weekly grease (more frequently when needed).
  • Ensure that equipment is always kept clean inside and out.
  • Maintain concrete block forms (structurally).
  • Strip, clean, oil and close forms.
  • Stack blocks for loader operator, stack in yard if needed.
  • Clean plant daily, sweep, keep area tidy and safe, power wash as needed.
  • Vibrate concrete forms with 20lb. backpack vibrator.
  • Maintain stockpile of rebar hooks or loops for blocks.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards work and the team.
  • Maintain and clean kitchen area daily.
  • Follows appropriate environmental rules and regulations.
