About The Position

The Redding Elementary School is seeking a Preschool Paraeducator to support students in one-to-one instruction and provide assistance for special education students in the general education classroom. The position is available immediately and requires working Monday to Friday for 6.25 hours per day when school is in session, totaling 181 days per school year. The role involves implementing IEP goals as directed by the Special Education teacher and collecting data regarding student performance.

Requirements

• Must have two years of college credit; OR Associates Degree or higher; OR must provide evidence of having passed the State Board of Education adopted paraprofessional assessment
• Previous experience working with young children in a school setting is a plus
• Must be flexible, creative, have a good sense of humor, and demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Must be highly motivated and self-directed

Responsibilities

• Assist students in one-to-one instruction and/or provide support for special education students in the general education classroom
• Implement IEP goals as directed by the Special Education teacher
• Collect data regarding student performance in the resource room and/or general education classroom
