About The Position

The Redaction Release Specialist is responsible for reviewing documents related to background investigations to ensure compliance with case requirements. This role involves redacting sensitive information, processing case materials, and completing departmental functions while adhering to established production, quality, and timeliness standards. The position requires effective communication and the ability to manage work assignments independently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two (2) years of government contracting in background investigations experience preferred.
• Computer/office literacy; familiarity with Microsoft Office or other compatible applications.
• Effectively communicate with team members both written and oral.
• Ability to interpret procedure manuals, email correspondence, and instructions.
• Ability to manage and complete work assignments independently or with minimal supervision.
• Ability to type 40 words per minute.
• Willingness to work on-site as needed and consent to a government background investigation for Top Secret level eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Review documents relating to background investigations to ensure information meets case requirements.
• Redact material from requested files as needed.
• Provide material per agency request.
• Process case materials and complete department functions under established production, quality, and timeliness standards.
• Complete other assignments/projects as needed to support department, contract, or business needs.
