About The Position

Material Handlers move recyclable material through the facility, conducts material grading and evaluates for sale destination. Pittman Shift 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off 7:00am - 7:00pm 7:00pm - 7:00am

Education: None required.
Experience: None required.
Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire customer-specific drug and/or alcohol testing may be required by certain customer-contract requirements. Such testing may include urinalysis, oral swab, drug hair follicle testing and/or alcohol testing.
Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.
Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 50 pounds frequently.
Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored vehicle.
Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
In order to travel by air or access federal property, federal law requires individuals have a REAL ID or an acceptable alternative. This position may require the successful candidate to travel by air for business reasons or service federal property. Accordingly, successful candidates must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative.

Responsibilities

Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, handcarts, hoists, cranes) as required
Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Uses PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.
Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
Properly documents work performed
Conducts material audits
