The Role We are hiring a Recycling Technician to support the safe, efficient, and high quality processing of copper and other critical materials at our recycling plant. In this role, you will operate and maintain material processing equipment, ensure quality standards, and support production workflows within a technology driven recycling environment. You’ll play a hands on role in scaling our advanced recycling operations, working closely with engineers and technicians to optimize throughput, minimize waste, and uphold safety excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with material‑handling or processing equipment (shredders, conveyors, sorters, etc.)
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, equipment manuals, and safety guidelines
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced, industrial setting
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Operate copper shredding, sorting, and smelting preparation equipment
  • Inspect, sort, and grade incoming copper scrap according to established specifications
  • Monitor and adjust equipment to ensure consistent material flow and product quality
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleaning of machinery
  • Record production data and material metrics using digital tools and software
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, yield, and safety
  • Follow strict environmental, health, and safety protocols at all times
  • Collaborate with engineering and automation teams to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Support inventory tracking and material handling workflows
