About The Position

Our client is seeking a dedicated Recycling Plant Worker to join their team in an environmentally conscious setting. Job Summary Employee will be sorting textile products at our clients recycling plant in Lantana, FL and Ensure all safety and compliance procedures are followed. Shift is 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. approximately 300 times during an 8-hour shift.
• Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc) occasionally.
• Required to exert physical effort in handling and lifting objects up to 75 pounds most of the day – includes lifting lamp boxes to feed into machinery; pushing/pulling pallets of material, moving full drums with use of hand trucks.
• Required to stand on feet the entire workday.
• Required to bend at the waist to pick objects off the floor most of the day.
• Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc) occasionally.
• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements occasionally.
• PPE:6 inch steel toes lace up boots, gloves

Responsibilities

• Follow proper processing procedures for mercury containing lamps
• Follow all required safety and personal protective equipment facility guidelines, including the use of a respirator, as required
• Conduct daily pre- and post- shift safety inspection of equipment
• Keep work area clean of debris and maintain good housekeeping
• Ensure proper labeling and container requirements are met
• Performs general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to, o lifting and moving materials
• Conducts other duties and tasks as assigned.
