About The Position

The Recycling Plant Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the Maintenance Department's efforts to maintain plant equipment and facilities in accordance with good engineering practices. This role involves managing preventive maintenance programs, ensuring the efficient operation of facilities, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of relevant work experience.
• Seven years of experience in engineering and maintenance of equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Develop, maintain, and administer an organization qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition.
• Execute an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.
• Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition and schedule needed repairs with minimal interference.
• Consult with other departments regarding modifications of existing equipment and facilities to improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
• Coordinate the efficient operation of facilities with project engineers.
• Oversee the maintenance of all plant transportation equipment.
• Analyze cost studies of proposals for new facilities and equipment to secure reduced operating costs and make recommendations to the Plant Manager.
• Develop objectives and standards of performance for projects within the Maintenance Department to meet departmental, divisional, and corporate goals.
• Plan and provide for an adequate supply of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
