About The Position

The position requires traveling to various locations to safely maintain machinery and equipment, ensuring continuous operation and exceptional quality in a timely manner. The role involves performing essential functions such as checking and repairing safety guards, hydraulics, and operating vehicles, as well as maintaining inventory and supply of replacement parts. The technician will also be responsible for preventative maintenance on all machinery and vehicles, ensuring all equipment is in operating condition, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 7 - 10 years' experience with mechanical and maintenance duties.
• Hands-on skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work in varying climates and conditions.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• General knowledge of electrical prints, pneumatic pumps, and hydraulic systems.
• Welding skills (stick and wire feed).
• Must have own tools and be able to use them on the job.
• High degree of safety awareness and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of the equipment by checking and repairing safety guards and hydraulics.
• Maintain inventory and supply of replacement parts, keeping written records and sending monthly reports.
• Keep all equipment in operating condition through preventative maintenance.
• Assist and train operators in performing their own maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Perform repairs on forklifts, balers, conveyors, and densifiers, including hydraulic systems and electrical components.
• Schedule and prioritize all repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
